IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

CLASS POLICIES AND INFORMATION
In our continuing efforts to provide the best customer service to our students and due to our limited class size, we need to ensure that students attend the course(s) for which they have scheduled. If a student schedules a course and does not attend, this limits our ability to provide needed services to other students.
Course fees are non-refundable, unless ARC cancels the course and there are no other course dates available.
If you cannot attend the class you have scheduled, you MUST NOTIFY the chapter at least 24 hours prior to the start of class to reschedule. Failure to do so will require a $10.00 reschedule fee. Failure to show for class will also require a $10.00 reschedule fee. After 3 transfers the student’s course fees will be forfeited.
With at least 24 hours notice we will happily reschedule you one time into another class at no additional charge.
If a student misses their class date, they must contact our office within 3 business days of the class date to reschedule or their class fees will be forfeited.
Students are given short breaks throughout class. Classes lasting all day will have a lunch break.
Class design does not allow for tardiness. If you are more than 15 minutes late arriving for class, or more than 5 minutes late returning from break, you will be excused from class and instructed to call the chapter office to reschedule. (The $10.00 reschedule fee applies here also)
Children are not allowed in class unless they are enrolled as students. The same applies for pets during a Pet First Aid class.
You will be participating in two forms of testing during the course. 1) Skill testing: where you will practice skills on a partner or manikin. 2) Written Testing: multiple choice tests will be given and students must score 80% or better to pass.
If you do not pass a test, the instructor will give you further instructions.
If you have any conditions or limitations that may affect your course completion, please notify the chapter office at the time of enrollment. We want you to succeed in completing the class and may need to arrange for assistance. If we are not notified in advance, the instructor may ask that you reschedule into another class so that we may better meet your needs.
Dress comfortably, as some skills require working on the floor. Please refrain from wearing lipstick or make-up that may stain the manikins.
If you have a respiratory illness or other infection, please reschedule with the chapter office.
CPR and First Aid can be strenuous. Consider your health and safety first. If you are under a doctor’s care, please check with them before attending class.
Bring your receipt to class with you. The instructor will be verifying enrollment.
Choose classes carefully. There are no refunds. After you enter the online catalog, the catalog search page will be displayed first. Most health & safety courses are located in A1 thru A3 and A6. You can also search for classes using the words contained in the title. After you make your category selection, a catalog page will be displayed. For a description of the course, click the title link.
Click the plus icons to view schedules and purchase courses. Before you purchase a course, you will need to create a student I.D. and password. If you believe that you have an existing student I.D. and password, please call Red Cross User Support at 1-888-778-7762 to retrieve them.
In order to process your enrollment effectively, please follow the data entry standards below when you self-register:
